Lesson Two - Exploiting Demographics


In lesson one, I spoke about how using a female model can increase your site visitors. It is no secret that in our world...Sex Sells. And in India, gorgeous women are a big ticket item. As you know, we are flooded with marketing ploys that a designed specifically to manipulating us to commit to somekind of action, be it a commitment to purchase, or to make some kind of positive action.

By using a sexy woman to help promote your website or article, you will surely capture the attention of a significant portion of traffic that otherwise might not. With this Hub, I am seeking to captivate visitors from a specific demographic group. In this case this demographic group would be men, and more specifically men from India.

In lesson one, I have been able to increase my hub views to a point whereby the lesson one hub had completely surpassed all my other hubs in visitor total. I estimate that within a short period of time, that that single hub will exceed all my other hubs combined. When you consider that a single hub can deliver more readers to your content than all others combined, the use of a pretty woman is a very powerful tool indeed. In this particular hub, I have used a few photos of the Actresses of Bollywood, and optimized each Alt Tag with words relating to Bollywood, India Women, and Hindi Girls. In addition, I have also used keywords that are unique to India in each of the titles, of which I suspect men from India would find appealing and utilize as their keyword search. I have also used a keyword phrase in each of the paragraphs as well.

GeoTargeting a specific demographic can work for you one many levels. You can generate significant sales of affliate products by targeting a specific group of people from all different cultures and locations. It is an extremely powerful tool that you can use to increase your visibility on a global basis. It is at the forefront of niche marketing that geoTargeting works best, and is only limited in scope by your ability to relate to your target market.

Research is the key...

When targeting a specific demographic, it is utterly important that you do your research. Nothing can kill your efforts more quickly by making an assumption that you can understand your readership unless you take the time to research your information. Just as it is an insult to show the sole of your shoe in Japan, there are myraid of cultural nuances that can insult your readers and send them fleeing in droves. If you are going to speak about the Karma Sutra, it is important that you know your subject matter very well before you embarrass yourself before your readers.

I did a recent survey the other day on Alexa, and to my surprise there were a significant number of Adult related websites that rank in the top 100 of search engine rankings. Although I do not advocate these types of websites, I am also aware that there are many key properties of today's webdesigns that can be attibuted to that industry. Ethical use of seduction

The fact is that when marketing your products, you must look at all the possibilities when it comes to marketing your products and your personal brand. This is not a new and unique form of market seduction, companies from Pepsi Cola to John Deer all use visual aids to ignite buy signals in their audience. However, class and appropriate use play a big part of successful marketing campaigns. You must find the appropriate methods that work for your particular niche, use videos, photos, keywords, and mind messaging to get your point lodged into your visitors brain.

When it comes to GeoTargeting, racial and cultural profiling is an acceptable practice. It is how we move product from manufacturer to consumer. If this were not so, then there would be no difference in the hair products on the shelf at Walmart. Therefore your maket making needs to be a diverse as your audience.
